- Exercises sound judgment and discretion in assessing situations and determining appropriate priorities.
- Partner with the Vice President of Business & Finance in the planning and execution of annual insurance renewals and benefits strategy.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and related offerings.
- Supervise payroll and human resources staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and payroll records.
- Manage and monitor the Human Resources departmental budget.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to leadership on trends and recommendations.
- Serve as Chair of the Staff Affairs Committee.
- Provide guidance to departments and staff regarding the interpretation and application of payroll and benefits laws, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Under the direction of the Vice President of Business & Finance, make technical and administrative decisions requiring analysis and interpretation of data, policies, and legal requirements.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state employment regulations, including COBRA and FMLA.
- Reports directly to the Vice President of Business & Finance.
- Collaborates closely with university leadership, department heads, and employees to support institutional objectives.
- An openly committed Christian who demonstrates a Spirit-filled life and is an active attendee of an Assemblies of God church.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; a minimum of five (5) years of professional HR experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employee benefits administration, payroll systems, and employment law compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
