Position Overview
The Director for Learning Management Systems supports faculty and instructional designers in leveraging technology for effective teaching. Responsibilities include assisting with course design, managing Blackboard course shells, providing faculty training, and coordinating technology upgrades. They also identify and report course issues and support special projects as needed. This position is on site.

Major Responsibilities
· Manage and maintain the SIS-LMS integration for Blackboard users, courses, and enrollments, troubleshooting integration issues as needed
· Develop and administer permissions and data access within the LMS and related software
· Serve as LMS administrator for creating and managing student and faculty accounts, courses, organizations, and enrollments
· Assist instructional designers with course design upon request
· Coordinate with IT on hardware and software upgrades related to course delivery
· Identify and report LMS data issues through review and extraction from LMS databases
· Coordinate and manage mass campus communications, including maintaining emergency communication systems
· Support faculty in the use of instructional technology
· Provide training for faculty on instructional technology tools and platforms
· Coordinate instructional projects and prepare related training materials
· Assist with developing instructional components for online courses as needed
· Research, evaluate, and implement upgrades to instructional and academic technology
· Support Academic Services with special projects and events as required
· Participate in industry groups to monitor LMS improvements and recommend new features
· Provide ongoing support to faculty teaching Blackboard courses
